Since April 1st 2016 my family of three and two fur babies have been living in the highest performance 200 sq ft in the world, our tiny house on wheels affectionately called #TinyLab.
I started this blog during the build of our home and the build of our baby girl. It became a wonderful thread and outlet for me to share ALL of the crazy things I was learning. Then we gave birth to our baby and six weeks later moved into the #TinyLab and drove across the state of Florida beginning our ten month journey across the nation.
The Proof is Possible Tour was consuming to say the least. Filming a TV show (HomeDiagnosis.tv,) trying to promote an indie film (TheOtherOneMovie.com,) raising a baby, trying to keep my husband safe and sane, attempting something called "me time," and managing a new tiny life lifestyle on top of it all, well... you get it.
Radio silence became a must.
We're now 6 months off the road and in our 3rd month of living on our new land here in Atlanta. My daughter goes to a mother's morning out program two days a week, our workshop will be finished soon so we can work and slowly our life will be located in one location with our tools accessible in one place. Life is beginning to shine through like a light at the end of a tunnel.
I don't know our future. I don't know if our TV show will get the final corporate funding it needs to carry it through production. I never really thought my beautiful award winning movie would make money, but we got a check last month from our distributor!
We make unusual choices with no regrets. One thing I do know is that we will be living in our tiny house for a while longer. We do plan to build a bigger house, but for now the #TinyLab lifestyle continues.
So this too will continue. The Tiny House, Tiny Human blog reawakens. I have so many stories to share and I'm eager to connect positively with the world again.
It's not always easy, but it works. I am treasuring this time in my life. In 200 sq ft you can't miss the sweet games your husband plays with your baby while changing her diaper. It sounds like a minuscule thing but these tiny moments won't last long, so I savor.
Here we are, September 14th, 2017. Corbett and my 15th Anniversary of coming into each other's life on earth and pictured is our growing life from our #TinyLab. Thanks for reading and welcome back my first followers.
I love your writing - so glad to be a "tiny" part of your story!
